Persons living in central Pennsylvania who have Down Syndrome are eligible to receive funds from the CRDSS. Most any activity that can be reasonably expected to enrich the life of the recipient of the funds will be considered.
Within the limits of its resources, CRDSS provides scholarships to as many individuals as possible who otherwise would not be able to participate in enriching activities. While we wish that all requests could be granted, our funding is limited. In order to allow as many individuals as possible access to CRDSS enrichment funds, one request per individual with Down Syndrome in a calendar year.
We make every effort to respond to funds applications as quickly as possible and submitting your pre-approval form is easy. (Click here to submit form.) However, it can take up to four weeks to decide enrichment fund merits and award amounts. Check dispersing can add another week to this process. Please take this timing into consideration when requesting funds, especially if participation in the activity is completely dependent on receiving funds to do so.
