Events & Activities
Registration for 2017 Challenger Baseball is OPEN! We are excited to offer 2 divisions again this year - the Little League Division and the Senior Division! Both divisions are non-competitive. Below is the breakdown of ages and divisions:
Ages 4-14: Little League Challenger Division
Ages 15-18: players may choose either Little League Challenger or Senior League Challenger (not both)
Ages 19 and up: Senior League Challenger Division
Last year, we had many new players for our regular Challenger Division, and the addition of our Senior Division was a huge success.
With our Challenger program continuing to grow, we will need more volunteers to help coach and coordinate the teams, so if you are able to help, please go to the SCLL Coaches Clearances Forms page at http://www.eteamz.com/statecollegelittleleague/news/index.cfm?cat=444573 and fill out the appropriate forms. Let me know once you have submitted the forms. Like last year, we are planning to play our games on Saturday mornings. This would allow us to have both divisions play their games back to back.
You can register at: http://www.eteamz.com/statecollegelittleleague/
Registration for Challenger Division is free, but you must still go through the checkout process. Please let me know if you have any questions or problems with registration.
I am looking forward to another great season of Challenger Baseball!!!

The Centre Region Down Syndrome Society is proud to support a Challenger Baseball team through State College Little League. The Challenger Division was established nationally in 1989 as a separate division of Little League to enable boys and girls with physical and mental challenges, ages 4-18, or up to age 22 if still enrolled in high school, to enjoy the game of baseball along with the millions of other children who participate in this sport worldwide.
Today, more than 30,000 children participate in more than 900 Challenger Divisions worldwide.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Each participant receives a team t-shirt and hat. Bats and helmets are provided for use during the games. We have a few extra gloves, though most families opt to purchase their own gloves. Scholarship funds are available through the CRDSS to cover this expense.
The State College Challenger League does not currently have a Senior Challenger Division, but plans are in place to create one for the 2016 season, which would allow for ages 19+ to participate.
